Welcome to Ambrí Boards
My name is Tony O'Shea owner and creater of Ambrí Boards. The idea for the business first came about when I went looking for a unique chopping board, as I love cooking. When I could not find what I was looking for I decided to make my own. My father was a thatcher and that is where I got the love of wood from. Once I finished my first few boards which I made in the shed at the back of our house, people fell in love with them and this is where Ambrí Boards started. Now our boards are used all over the world, from the top hotels eg. Four Seasons, Hotel Europe and also some of the top chefs eg. Clodagh McKenna, Donal Skeehan etc. We have now expanded our range of products that include functional kitchen accessories that will last a lifetime. We were trying to come up with an appropriate name to call the businiss and what better to call it then after our twin daughters Amy and Bríd.

All the trees to make Ambrí Boards have fallen naturally, when the tree falls it is milled into the required thickness for our boards. It is then air dried for up to 15 months and then kennel dried for a further 5-7 weeks, at this stage the board is ready to be prepared. Now all the work from our skilled craftsmen comes into play. All our boards are cut by hand with great care and passion from start to finish. Only upon final inspection are the boards passed as an "Ambrí Board"
